Even if we could put together a few issues, we wouldn't have anywhere near the resources to print out a sizable amount of them, and if we could, I doubt we could make much of a profit, if we made anything. To even be able to run a kickstarter, we'd need to create at least one issue up front as an example of what we plan to do, complete with everything we would have in the real first issue. No one would want to invest in a shitty product or a product that we haven't even made yet. We would also need to work out what sort of content would be included, and how we would go about getting it. We wouldn't exactly have much money to start with even if we did manage to get successful funding from kickstarter, and we would need to find comic artists who would agree to being published by us (and we'd need to pay them, too)...
We'd need to form an entire company for this sort of thing to work. As it is, it's just easier to use the internet. Really, what could we publish that can't be found online, or that we could afford to publish? Who would even want to buy it with things so freely available online? This sort of project would be a complete pain in the ass to get off the ground.
