Slowpoke here, I just realized that Homura's witch form is really called Homulilly. I always thought that it's just an unconfirmed joke. Although Homulilly is supposed to be a pun, but the name is just too humorous, and of course, blatantly yuri.

Speaking of the PSP game, Hitomi seems to be really onto Homura, even in the regular routes, and very explicit in the bonus route. What's happening?

In the game, you only see the image and the runes that spell out Homulilly and Game Over, and they have it show up in the image gallery. It's not like the other witches where you can look up info to find out what the witch represents. So basically everything else is people analyzing and guessing things from the image and the name.

I was pretty amused by the fact that Ume sensei designed the girls (duhh wide faces).

I just wanna say... fans of the series, and even the creators themselves, can publicly deny the homosexuality, but when such a large part of the fanbase has the same impression, it's clear the creators did something right to incite it... Such reactions and consequences don't happen without reason, not on this scale

Personally I am hoping for a true canonization in the movies (even though the subtext is so huge that it's barely even subtext anymore there's still plausable deniability, which I hope the movies remove, and even as obvious as it is to anyone who can read between the lines it's still not black on white, which in my opinion it should be)

Her jealousy over Madoka was more out of fear of being left all alone again and she largely goes witch over guilt at not saving that child and feeling like she's failed at becoming a magical route. Once you finish playing all the branches of the Homura route, you'll understand that Mami fears being alone in general.

As for Kyouko being more loveable and cute...I wonder exactly how much you've seen of her in the game. She's pretty rough around the edges and can be crueler than in the anime. The main thing is she's tsundere so her actions are usually kinder than her words. It's not a bad presentation of her but it's not exactly what I'd call loveable or cute...though she has her moments.

I wasn't even aware of the media involving drama CD's to begin with. Less boring audiobooks it is then. Anyhow I found some viddy's on youtube with subtitles to go along with it. It does feel rather odd trying to comprehend audio material with subtitles on top of it, but I guess that's how it works. Checking other RAW's all were pretty much the same quality so there's nothing we can do about that (the handwritten in there is quite awful). The child thing was the last straw, just like Sayaka's last straw was the men in the train.

If you look at the process (the events that caused Mami's emotional energy to increase), it obviously had a lot to do with Madoka and Madoka preferring Homura over her. She didn't go witch when Madoka went together with her into the last witch barrier, but goes witch if she went in alone.

I'm not up to Kyouko's route yet, but right now her personality is very refreshing and interesting to me. She's obviously tsundere about Mami, and the way Mami tells her off for Madoka just pisses me off.

But the character they wrote is the definition of a Bhoddisatva. They had to of known this when they were writing it.

Writers use all sort of archetypes for inspiration all the time, and it doesn't surprise me they don't want the audience to think there's more to it than that.

In any case, they are the creators, so if they say Madoka's last form is Ultimate Madoka, then that's how it is.
